Justice Funding Held up by Federal Administration is Finally Available for Colorado Organizations

(June 8, 2020) - Local victims’ services programs, justice organizations, and law enforcement can now begin accessing $5.5 million in 2018 and 2019 federal grants that they have been waiting for due to restrictions that the Trump Administration had placed on the grant funding.  

In 2018, the State of Colorado was awarded $2.7 million in federal funding for public safety through a program known as the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. In 2019, Colorado was awarded $2.8 million of these funds.

This free conference will feature practitioner presentations, breakout sessions, and a keynote speech by Governor Polis.

Colorado to Host First Joint Conference Addressing Both Domestic Violence & Sex Offender Management

The Event will feature world-reknowned domestic violence expert; motivational speaker/former Bronco Reggie Rivers; and voices of victims.

For the first time in 13 years of hosting conferences on offender management, the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ) will bring together both the fields of domestic violence offender management and sex offender management at one conference this summer.

DCJ Announces Estimated $15 Million in Grant Funding to Serve Crime Victims

(May 29, 2019) - The Office for Victims Programs (OVP), a unit of the Division of Criminal Justice within the Colorado Department of Public Safety, announces the availability of an estimated $15 million in federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Program funds for the implementation of the Extraordinary VOCA Funding Opportunity. 

The grant announcement, application, instructions, and attachments will be released on Monday, June 3, and All applications must be submitted via ZoomGrants by 5 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2019.
