(March 7, 2019) - An independent, impartial, third-party contractor has completed and released a review of the meeting policies, procedures, board conduct, and ethics/conflict of interest policies of the Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB).

(July 28, 2020) - The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) today released a legislative audit of the Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB), a stautory board that is supported by staff in the Colorado Department of Public Safety’s Division of Criminal Justice. 

The audit recommended five primary areas for improvement:

(June 8, 2020) - Local victims’ services programs, justice organizations, and law enforcement can now begin accessing $5.5 million in 2018 and 2019 federal grants that they have been waiting for due to restrictions that the Trump Administration had placed on the grant funding.  

(Jan. 27, 2020) - The Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ) Office of Research and Statistics has published its fifth annual Report of Officer Involved Shootings in Colorado pursuant to Senate Bill 15-217.

The report documents findings based on officer-involved shootings that occurred during a nine-and-a-half-year period between Jan. 1, 2010, and June 30, 2019.
