Sex Offender Registration and Notification (SORN) in Colorado is managed by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and carried out by Colorado law enforcement agencies.
Although the Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) does not oversee the CBI, law enforcement agencies, or the SORN process directly, the work of the SOMB informs the work of SORN in Colorado. In addition, the SOMB provides training and technical assistance to law enforcement agencies regarding SORN and in particular community notification regarding those who have been designated as Sexually Violent Predators. This page serves as a resource for law enforcement and other organizations in their goal to enhance community safety.
