Jail Data Community Corrections Corrections Data Prison Population Projections Recidivism
The Office of Research and Statistics (ORS) compiles recidivism statistics across several criminal justice entities in Colorado including, Probation, Community Corrections, the Department of Corrections, and the Division of Youth Services. Broadly defined, "recidivism" is when a convicted individual reoffends. Depending on the criminal justice setting, "re-offense" may indicate that supervision rules have been violated, there is a new court filing (for a crime committed), or there is a conviction for a new crime.
