2026 Crime Victim Services (CVS) Funding Opportunity
Award Period: January 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026
The Office for Victims Programs (OVP) announces the estimated availability of approximately $29.8 million for 1 year in Crime Victim Services (CVS) Grant Funds. CVS Funds are comprised of 3 funding sources*:
- Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) - $26 million
- S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) - $2.9 million
- Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP) - $900,000
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: All applications must be received by 11:59 p.m., March 17, 2025, in ZoomGrants.
*General Funds may also be included in CVS funding if available at the time funding decisions are made.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Agencies that provide victim/survivor-centered services to victims of crime are eligible to apply. New agencies and projects are encouraged to apply.

How and When to Apply for Funding

Applicants must upload the Application for the CY 2026 Crime Victim Services (CVS) Grant Program Funds, with all required attachments, into ZoomGrants and submit no later than 11:59 p.m. on March 17, 2025.
Grant Funding Timeline
- January 21, 2025: CVS CY 2026 Announcement/Application Released and Live in ZoomGrants.
- January & February 2025: Grant Application Webinars and In-Person Trainings held (Attendance is encouraged but not required to apply).
- The webinars will be recorded and posted on this webpage.
- March 17, 2025: Application Deadline (Applications must be uploaded and submitted into ZoomGrants by 11:59 p.m. on March 17, 2025. Staff will not be available to answer questions after 5:00 p.m. on this day).
- Summer 2025: All applications are reviewed by staff and the CVSAB and funding recommendations are made.
- Denied applicants will be notified in mid to late July and will have the option to request a reconsideration of the Board's decision if they meet the reconsideration criteria as outlined in the denial letter. The reconsideration meeting will be held in late Summer 2025.
- Final award decision letters will be emailed in late August.
- November 2025: Additional required documents are due and grant agreements are sent for signatures using DocuSign.
- January 1, 2026: One-year grant period begins.

The Office for Victims Programs is offering the following application trainings (content will be the same in person and virtually). The virtual trainings will be recorded and published on this web page.
- System-Based Agency Applicants (Virtual): 1-3 p.m. on February 11, 2025
- Community-Based Agency Applicants (In Person): 12-2pm on February 13, 2025
- Location: Colorado Department of Public Safety (710 Kipling St. Lakewood, CO 80215)
- Register for the In-Person Application Training for Community-Based Agency Applicants
- System-Based Agency Applicants (In Person): A team will be available during the meetings scheduled below to walk applicants through the application process, application training, and answer questions. No additional registration is required to receive support. For more information on attending these specific trainings, email our grants team.
- Victim Witness Directors Meeting 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on February 14, 2025
