The Colorado Department of Public Safety (CDPS) and the Office of Public Safety Communications (OPSC) are aware of a system-wide issue affecting the Digital Trunk Radio System (DTRS), microwave network, and actively working to restore the statewide DTRS.

An engineering team is working diligently to identify the cause and bring the network back online.

All public safety agencies and other users of the DTRS are advised to activate their Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) for critical radio communications. This ensures that essential functions can continue uninterrupted while the system is down.

CDPS, and its divisions, are in continuous contact with all our partner agencies. Public safety services, including the Colorado State Patrol and wildfire firefighting operations, are continuing through alternate communication methods.

Update will be provided as soon as the system is restored. For the latest informaiton, follow CDPS social media accounts.
