The Colorado Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ) is launching its first statewide director-led listening tour, building on the Division’s longstanding commitment to connecting with communities across Colorado.

DCJ Director, Matthew M. Lunn, who joined the Division in 2023, kicks off the tour August 11, 2025, in Grand Junction at Mesa University, with the last stop scheduled September 22, 2025. A total of eleven stops across Colorado are scheduled. These visits are part of a broader effort to strengthen relationships, introduce DCJ’s work, and hear directly from local partners.

The Colorado Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ), part of the Colorado Department of Public Safety, works to improve public safety and strengthen Colorado. DCJ provides grant funding, research, policy guidance, and program support, partnering with agencies and organizations statewide to serve victims, reduce crime, and promote fairness in the justice process.

Businesses and organizations are invited to attend and learn more about DCJ’s unveiling of its strategic plan, programs, grant opportunities, and services. From funding to support local law enforcement initiatives to programs that assist victims of crime and reduce recidivism, DCJ offers a wide range of resources aimed at building safer, stronger communities.

The listening tour is an opportunity to connect, ask questions, and share perspectives on how DCJ’s work aligns with the needs and priorities of communities across the state. Whether one is already familiar with DCJ or just learning about what the Division offers, participation is encouraged and welcomed.
